I don't know. Reversal days can be swift and dramatic. It would be unusual if it all ended with a yawn or a slow drizzle but not the first time. Dull markets are where everyone goes broke, better to wish for a sharp, high volume reversal.

Here's some "good news" for the bears, I do believe. Wonder if this contributed to the non-tech sell-off acceleration at the end of the day. . .

15:46 ET Moody's says investigations of brokers could lead to downgrades : Moody's said that investigations of investment banks that lead to criminal indictments of individual firms could lead to negative rating actions. These rating actions may range from rating outlook changes to rating downgrades, depending on the circumstances, and if the course of the investigations turns very negative for a particular firm, then multiple notch downgrades are possible. The press release listed the following investment banks: BSC, CS First Boston, GS, LEH, MER, MWD, and C's Salomon Smith Barney unit.
