A drop like that in the DOW would be event driven

IN almost all cases of true panic selling their is
a catalyst - a spark that lights the powder keg.
Not to say that cant happen because definitely all the
ingredients are there but we are missing the one bit of
news.

The other scenario would be a several day rally to
relieve the oversold pressures - failure to penetrate
the previous support ( now resistance) followed
by immediate selling with increasing volume (more than
the previous decline). That could signal a possible
panic scenario. Volume is the key. It must have high
volume.

FWIW I have been going short at the close each day
lately. Kind of crash insurance. Probably continue to
do that the next 3 weeks. I have a feeling that one
morning the futures are gonna be lock limit down and that'll
be the day.
