I was wrong more than I was right, I suspect. I don't think the market can be predicted accurately. Maybe I was never right, since it was all guessing anyway, and I usually allowed for the possibility of the opposite to occur.

I don't make a certain call because I'm never certain. You're right about that. If I were certain, I'd say so. I can't say I've ever met anyone who could predict the future direction of the market accurately. Maybe you have.

Most traders are just attempting to predict. It's a good effort, I suppose. Some are better at it than others -- Don, for example. But the market can negate his signals, too.

It's not true that I've been a permabear, incidentally. I've been a contrarian -- that's probably true. But I've been bullish plenty of times, and I've been yelled at for it, of course, too.
