Take a look at this comparison from 1982 - 1984 where the market was about to roll over in Late July 1984 before the reversal and melt-up commenced: stockcharts.com[e,a]daclyyay[d19821027,19841027][pb50!b200][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9]&pref=G Joe Granville was calling for a market crash since 1983 and was even writing a book called The Warning on this specific timeframe composing a periodic daily diary snipit of 1984. And when the market promptly reversed he kept delaying the book until January 1985 where he had to get the book to print.
