I believe you mean Mustang (old large cache) as Morgan is the present Duron core. Or perhaps it was the more recently killed Appaloosa (0.13 value)? An AMD Hall of the Never Shipped list might be interesting.

In general, engineering samples often don't reflect the production cores. If for no other reasons there are usually a stepping or two between the samples and the production units. In addition, AMD has in the past partially crippled the engineering samples. A good example is the original K7 samples, they had pretty lousy floating point (IIRC) when compared to the units that actually shipped...
