"the more press that Warren receives, the more business he receives." we all like Warren and respect his opinion. but, attend one of their annual meetings and speak with marketing about the relationship between investment in BH and active press.

it is my own opinion that as long as attention is deflected from BH's own returns, investors remain solidly in the BH camp.

"oldtrader" did better than Warren over the past ten years by investing in Dell. but Dell, doesn't fit Warren's definition of "value"

but, all money managers do it; that is, bash the competition. in the case of BH, the competition is brokerage firms

you have to wonder how sincere Warren is really being...or is this just another form of marketing?

if the general public started believing that there is a side to Warren that is hot air, he'd probably lose some business...as long as people continue to perceive him as king, he remains king; even though his own returns have been less than stellar.
