Productivity UP over 8% in the first quarter, labor costs DOWN over 5%. That's got to hit the bottom line soon, surely. However, I guess it means less workers are needed.

Wake up and smell the deficits. Rightly or wrongly, ALL presidents are held responsible for the nation's economic performance during the period of their terms... despite whatever might have gone on before.

That's just a political fact of life, a natural force. Arguing against it is a little like arguing against gravity... unlikely to be very productive.

And, whatever logical validity there is in blaming current economic woes upon past Congresses, or past Presidencies, the political fact of life that all politicians deal with is that by mid-way into a President's term all the blame or acclaim falls squarely upon him.
