Well Larry as you know the market chews up opportunity and spits it back out these days. Take CIEN. Please take it! (hah) Anyway. Total current assets, exceed the total of all Liabilities (both Long Term and current) by $1 Billion. All cash and short term Treasuries make up the difference. Add to that $500 Million in Long Term Investments. 99% is Government bonds, and fixed yield instruments. Total now $1.5 Billion. Add in the $300 Million equipment and manufacturing facilities. Representing a Depreciated value of course. Total now $1.8 Billion of identifiable assets. Market Valuation for this? $1.9 Billion. A $100 Million premium over a conservative value of the assets. Zero for technology patents. Zero for the value of an established leading technology business. Zero for the assembled workforce. Zero for the future earnings potential. Zero. Nothing.
