DJ MARKET TALK: Morgan Likes H-P, Even With A Stumble

Edited by Thomas Granahan Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES (Call Us: 201-938-5299; All Times Eastern)

10:50 (Dow Jones) Hewlett-Packard's (HPQ) valuation looks attractive, even in a downside scenario, says Morgan Stanley. The firm upgrades the company to overweight from equal-weight and gushes about its post-merger prospects ahead of Carly Fiorina's news conference at 1:30 p.m. ET. "HPQ's longer-term rewards outweigh its potential near- to medium-term risks. The enterprise environment remains weak, but HPQ's well-placed integration plans and first-class printing franchise should bear fruit by fiscal 2003." HPQ up 2.7% at $18.71. (GS)

Hey Dave B,

Why don't you cease posting here and join us over at the new HPQ board? A lot of your posts are repetition anyway.
