But digital cable with Internet access costs less than AOL plus paying for a phone line and much much faster. And it is
always on, no logging on or off the cable.

James, I am thinking of removing my last Bell telephone (I
have one left). I have Sprint PCS wireless and I have free
long distance and more minutes in my plan than I use, all for
$29.99/month. I don't use the Bell phone for long distance
at all and really don't need it for local calls since I don't do engineering anymore. Chris has a FAX at his house
and the FAX is all I really ever need (about once a month or
less). The $35 to Bell is mostly wasted money, basically
buys me listing in local directory.
