There's stuff being invented all the time. Stuff that pays for itself in savings. Stuff like SANS, supply chain stuff, etc.

I think the locust thing is sensationalism. The problem is that disinvestment can feed on itself. That's why I feel we're at a tipping point. Either the stability of the US economy wins out, or we have a market-clearing decline. So far stability is winning in the context of a capex freeze.
