DJ H-P Launch -3: Exec VP Joshi To Head Printing Ops >HPQ

Hewlett-Packard said the Enterprise Systems Group, led by Executive Vice President Peter Blackmore, will cover the key technology assets of enterprise information technology infrastructure, including enterprise storage, servers and management software.

HP Services, led by Executive Vice President Ann Livermore, will consist of an IT services team of about 65,000 worldwide employees, the company said.

The Imaging & Printing Group will be led by Executive Vice President Vyomesh Joshi and will provide systems for consumer and business markets, including printer hardware, all-in-ones, digital imaging devices such as cameras and scanners, and associated supplied and accessories.

H-P's printing and imaging business typically accounts for 40% of its annual revenue and also contributes the bulk of its profit, according to The Wall Street Journal. As the Compaq deal faced challenges from the H-P founding families and Wall Street earlier this year, many suggested H-P should focus on these operations and shed the rest.

The Personal Systems Group, headed by Executive Vice President Duane Zitzner, will provider business and consumer notebooks and desktops, workstations, thin clients, handhelds and Internet appliances.

In addition to these four core operations, Hewlett-Packard's Worldwide Operations unit, led by Executive Vice President Mike Winkler, will manage operations across the business groups, including supply chain, e-business, customer operations, global alliances, finance and information technology.
