Perhaps that wasn't the best analogy. Let me try this one: Do you think it's OK to pour gasoline on the American flag, light a match to it, then stomp on it with your feet, then then spit on what's left of Old Glory?

It's "legal," pal. But that don't make it right.

That, in essence, is what so-called American corporations do when they say "adios" to America and "hello" to Bermuda, just to save some tax liability and award more million-dollar bonuses to the top executives.

The problem is currently being addressed in Congress. No doubt the Republican leadership will oppose financial penalties for American companies that choose to have a flag other than Old Glory fly above their corporate headquarters.
