<< Wouldn't it mean not only occupying Iraq but also Iran, Syria and Lebanon? >>

Not occupying, deposing. It would be relatively easy to depose the governments of these small countries.

Iran? The people of Iran want a less radical government, and the "elected" government, while powerless, would take over, easily, if the US and it's few worthwhile allies got rid of the madmen now in power in Iran.

Iraq? Who cares who takes over, he can't be worse than Saddamn.

Lebanon could be taken over with Israel's assistance. Israel would be very happy to help rid the world of this terrorist state.

Syria? Israel could annex Syria, move the Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza into Saudi Arabia, where they would become the same nightmares for the Saudis that they now are to Israel.

If wishes were wings.........
