After being short since comp 2000, and adding at 1880, I covered at 1650. I have started going long. Last Thursday and today. I trade Rydex dynamic funds. I think that we may have enough shorts looking to pounce on rallies and enough nervous longs selling into them to get a nice rally going that breaks the current IT downtrend and last longer than many think. Might keep vix at moderate levels as well. Of course, I have no problem selling if I am wrong.

I do think that whenever we do hit out IT bottom, the subsequent rally should be shorted as I also feel that the larger trend is down and will remain so for at least another year. But bear market rallies can sneak up and last a longer than you think that they will and breach resistance and double tops. Just look at Japan over the last 10 years.

I am looking forward to the COT report to see what the truly smart money is doing.
