The details of the Enron tax obscenity are available at ctj.org

According to Citizens for Tax Justice, Enron paid no taxes in four of the five years 1996-2000, and, in fact, tapped Uncle Sam for millions of dollars in corporate welfare.

I am not sure where Citizens for ........[CTJ] is getting their info but the ENE financial statements on file with Market Research don't reflect the same numbers CTJ provides....really not even close. ENE's public financial statements also show ENE paying federal income taxes. Obviously, I can't attest to the veracity of the financials given the quality of the Houston office of Anderson, nor do I know if they got money back because of the loophole claims suggest by CTJ but according to the official records, they did pay federal taxes, or at least they claimed they did.

Plus they received over $7 billion from the feds for over seas projects. 1996-2000, can't lay that one on Bush, someone else was president then.
