Look at stocks like BRCD and QLGC -- they are up 18-22% and were WAY OVERSOLD IMO....Shorts are being squeezed big time....=)

Eventually, we are going to see the reverse of what we experienced from 9/2/2000 on. The shorts are shorting into every brief pause this am with impunity.

I don't even get this cyclical/secular bear market stuff. What we had was a massive rotation into big cap growth from spring 1998 to spring 2000, then a rush back out of it from then until the last few days. Last week the bell rang for me. It became too obvious we were experiencing the reverse of 1/10/00 to 3/10/00.(the nas exploded for a final run while the dow puked up 20%...look it up its pretty amazing)

Yes, absolutely we could go to new lows, but it doesn't really matter.....this very negative action has made it very certain, imho, that we are going to have a huge run off the lows of this year, whenever they are. And I mean at least 100% on the ndx over 2-3 years and maybe 150%

Edit: if vrsn ran up to 40 today, it would still be selling at a multiple of sales that would be 33% less than the historical average for a sw company in a leadership position in its sector.
