John, I remember a discussion on this issue that went on for a while a couple of months ago. I guess this settles it for now. U.S. Backs a Right to Bear Arms Law: Yep, we did. And my guess is that Dick Gephart just sent up a cheer for Ashcroft. This should make the life of Republican representatives from areas such as the suburban NE, West, perhaps around Chicago and St. Louis, quite difficult come fall. I would not wish to help them campaign. Ashcroft is their nut.
