This district could be a huge enterprise in time, and Peru as an owner has a big financial stake in it. So much so that their new Minister of Mining showed up at the last PDAC in Toronto and spoke specifically about Tambogrande. So yes, they could condemn, but they won't just do that, as the people issue needs to be done right. I believe they are light years ahead of a few years ago on that score, yet the stock price still suffers the hangover.

** Note I went on to establish a large "core" position in MAN at a buck shortly after this post.

It is not a simple matter. It is very political. Sort of like zoning issues where the community is opposed and you almost need community approval to go ahead.

Jon,

MAN has several properties in Tambo Grande. TG1 is onwed 100% if I remember well. But some others are shared 50% with a private company. It's been a while and I would have to check the details.. but it is something alone those lines.
