I suggested one telemarketer get a more respectable job such as robbing 7-11's or banks and stop using the lame excuse "it is a job that gets me off welfare".

BTW, I did a quick research of the telezapper at Amazon and it seems many are returned to the stores. Read the reviews: amazon.com
Effectiveness probably depends on how many machine dialed calls you get.

Favoriote trick is to say "Just a minute while I get the boss" then just put the phone down.

Depending on the time I have I lead them down a long path of nonsense.

They call alot trying to sell my small business things.

I go into 5 minute stories about well "..... I got 2 1/2 employees cause one don't do but half her job", rattle off some incoherent numbers for a mailing address, hand the phone to my babbling kid when they want the CEO, tell then to address the mailed info to the "All Knowing Chieftan" (so I will know to throw it in the trash on the way inside).
