JPMChase has derivatives with notional value of 25 trillion....do you think AG wants to cover that one?

Their equity is 42 billion or so....just a little bit leveraged....:)

Its funny that we think we have safeguards today relative to 1929, with margin restrictions and probably other limitations, but the leverage of derivatives probably adds more risk to our system than existed in 1929.

When the credit bubble bursts JRI, it will hardly matter. Robinplunder brings up a good point imo.
