I can only add that so called index measured mutual funds started to mushroom in 1999. They were very heavily promoted, in Canada that year CIBC came with the NASDAQ index fund, lots of people got on hook, even some pension funds. These kinds of mutual funds were not existing here before.

I seem to remember a courageous female analyst quite quotable a few years back and then later labelled by jealous males as a bitch, who wouldn't play the pay for my opinion only if it helps American Express gain investment banking revenue fees. She voluntarily quit A/E over this incestuous abuse of investors routine.

Anyone else remember her name?
