The bottom line with the EU is fear. Sept. 11 scared them to death, and the weak-minded leadership has come to the conclusion that giving the Arabs control of the West Bank will make their little world safe again. They tried that same strategy with Hitler and Chechoslovakia in 1938, and were so pleased with the results that they are trying it again in 2002. Unfortunately some factions in the White House seem to be following the same philosophy of trying to appease violent aggressors. Good thing the Congress is there to keep the US from losing all foreign policy credibility.
