The Arabs were once part of a great civilization during the Caliphate, but were over- run by the Turks. Finally, in the 20th century, they were once more poised to play a role in world affairs, but their dreams of glory were shattered by tin- horn dictators and economic chicanery. Meanwhile, one of the most despised and scattered nations on the earth built a small but powerful country, rebuffed all Arab attacks, and exceeded all Arab states in wealth and stability. Israel constitutes a living rebuke to the Arab states for their brutal political culture and their economic malfeasance. It has become the focal point of blame for Arab defects, and the test of Arab manhood. Israel stands for "neo-colonialism", which is mainly an excuse for why the Third World has behaved abominably. Furthermore, it is the primary insult to Arab honor. Mix in Islam, and it represents a continuous impiety, letting Jews rule Jerusalem, which has places sacred to Islam within it. Finally, many anti- semitic tracts, like the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, have circulated freely in Arab lands for decades, and make things much worse...........
