Charlie, I do not know anything about Zander's popularity within SUNW ... my comment that leaving would have an impact on employee morale was because of his position, not about his personality or popularity ... especially after Mike Lehman announced he was leaving ... ... I never had a problem with Zander's selling his stock as soon as he could (multiple times a year) for the years that I held SUNW stock (1997-2000) ... Zander never held onto much SUNW stock - he was always selling it ... that never bothered me because he was never signaling good or bad times ... in fact, I believe he lost many millions of dollars with his SUNW stock strategy - but that was his personal choice ... if he had accumulated vast quantities through the fall of 2000, and then unloaded it all in the next six months, you might make a case against him ... ... however, I do think that Zander's stock strategy, considering he has been a senior executive at SUNW for some time, was very unusual ... but it was not an issue for me ... ... my problem in Zander's leaving is that he was COO during SUNW's strongest growth years, and I believe he deserves a large part of the credit for those results ... so how is SUNW going to do without him? ... my concern is that this may say something negative about Scott - having the President/COO and CFO leave at the same time when things are tough ... ... As far as owning SUNW stock, I have no real advice ... I doubt there is much more downside in the short run ... the problem is that I don't know how much upside there is in the next 12 to 18 months ... SUNW is basically a "broken" stock as the overhead resistance up into the mid 50s is gigantic ... I would not buy it myself, but that is just me ... I would not buy EMC, IBM, SCMR and other tech companies either - and they all "appear" to be good buys now ... ... If today was the start of a significant rally, SUNW could move up quite a bit in the next 3 to 8 weeks, but it better move in proportion to the Nasdaq ... ask me after the close on Friday if this rally has any legs ... it really has to move quickly up to change sentiment ... ... I own 3 small caps, and I am trading futures aggressively ... ... one word of caution - whether or not we rally big time now, I think we will see new lows for equities overall come late October ... I hope I will be wrong in that, but I really doubt I will be ... Ken Wilson ... another issue might be that I think MSFT is going to be forced to break windows into sections, which ought to have a big psychological impact on SUNW's price ... but the timing of that ruling is uncertain in my mind ...
