Key with core shorts - never hold core all in one sector

My investment account is long a lot fo gold, a little energy, and a tiny biotech. short semis, homebuilders, financials, and restaurants.

My trading though, is almost always exclusively semis. that's where I've made my living the last five years. this year has been tougher than the others.
