This market is beyond me. When I think it's going up, it goes down --- and when I think it will go down, it flies up. And all for no apparent reason.

For the life of me I cannot see why the market went up like it did yesterday. There is no change in fundamentals which are still lousy. There was no particular good news --- in fact, no good news at all. Greenspan did nothing. Bush did nothing. So someone thought that a market with no dividends and no earnings to speak of is cheap. Beyond me.
