What does this mean in dollar terms. How much was invested in the property by previous operators? What is a tonne of anthracite coal worth? What does it cost to mine a tonne of anthracite coal? Some of these questions obviously need some generic answers, such as: Mining costs for most large open pits in northern BC run $x per tonne Mt Klappan has a 2:1 strip ratio (or whatever) Anthracite coal generally sells between $x and $y, but the bulk of it goes for around $z per tonne Dave
