I'd rather have my taxes be simpler, and pay 80% more, than have corporations pay income tax, knowing how the boost in corporate profits from a no-tax state can allow insiders, such as Michael Dell, get a much needed boost in stock option value. I almost cry thinking of how those in the top 1% will suffer in the coming downturn, and how the bottom 90% especially must step up to the plate. And the big bonus is the three hours I slave over Turbo Tax will be reduced to 1 hour, all for a few thousand dollars extra tax payment. The world may plunge into depression, but those two extra hours with my kids will be priceless, even if they were in bed when I did my taxes.
