It must have been scary. That was always one of my biggest fears, coming home and interrupting a robbery. My attitude is, take my stuff but leave me my life. When I got mugged I thought they were trying to kill me, once I knew all they wanted was money I handed it to them. In the mean time they almost choked me to death. arrrrrgh thinking about this stuff just makes me crazy.

Yesterday my local public radio station had a local talk show guy that had a number of people from the city and different neighborhood groups on and they were talking about the Renaissance that the city was going through and how the price of houses were recovering. How neighborhoods were starting to really come around as nice places to live, that families were coming back and the tide of people leaving the city had stopped. Then they allowed people to call in to ask questions of the panel.....it was funny in a sad sort of way. Almost every single caller wanted to talk about one thing, the crime in their neighborhoods. You could hear the anger and indignation in their voices. They just wanted out.
