If you approve only surgical strikes, does that mean you approved of Israel's policy of targeted assasinations? I don't recall your approval there either.

War is not a surgical operation, especially urban warfare against "unlawful combatants" -- the Geneva convention term for those who don't wear uniforms and hide behind civilians. Demanding that the Israelis fight terrorists only "surgically" amounts to demanding that they don't fight at all. The Israelis have been as surgical as they could be -- with all the fighting in Jenin camp, Jenin town was untouched.

Besides, the latest suicide attack in Israel does point towards Ariel Sharon's failure

There was never an expectation of making it stop instantly. If you compare the Israeli body count for April against the body count for March, you'll see a dramatic drop. The April incursions did not touch Hamas, btw. That's about to change.

On the other hand, Arafat is a master politician. He has come out publicly denouncing the attack. We know he is not serious.

Oh yes, an absolute genius who has achieved so much for people. Get serious. All he cares about is his own power. The other Arabs find him a useful club to hit Israel with, and the morons at our State Dept. are still listening to them.
