*OT* I mainly follow HGMCY and GOLD (GFI on the NYSE beginning today), and I think HGMCY is probably undervalued compared to GFI. HGMCY has earned about 50 cents a share in the last two quarters, compared to about 30 cents for GFI.

But miners are also valued based on reserves and other metrics, and I don't have access to that info offhand.

GFI is rumored to be a buyout target here, possibly Barrick. Maybe just an investment coming.

estimated earnings per share on hgmcy = 79 cents per yoohoo finance...hgmcy pays a nominal dividend while drooy does not...finally i have mixed feelings about holding golds at these levels, but i have a core position in both hgmcy and drooy that i won't touch, and i sell calls on hgmcy...the primos are quite rich...if hgmcy is north of 15 end of next week, they take my trading shares, if not, lather rinse repeat <g>
