These guys at SG Cowen are pretty sharp.

Charles Pradilla was just on CNBC. Yesterday their
CEO (can't remember his name!) was on - he made the funniest
comment I've ever heard on CNBC - EVER!

Disclaimer: I have no connection or relations with S G Cowen...
but I find that I am in sync with what they're saying.

nokomis "there should be a fair bit of shorting of the open..."

My 2 cents...
I doubt it. Some profit taking - good short sellers are not madmen. Good short sellers do not short indiscriminately,
as many longs believe. Good short sellers use the same TA indicators, Fib levels, etc. as everyone else, which means
that they are basically trend followers and not lunatics.
If you're only a long player, you should get to know your enemy.
If you have the usual misconceptions about short sellers,
you're fighting an uphill battle, so to speak.
