Gadzooks...hope not.

Here's why I don't think that will happen....

One problem with the American voting system today is lack of participation by the general population. The largest group of voters has traditionally been retirees and older people in general---I guess they have more time to focus on the issues and more money in their pockets likely to get gored by the spenders in Congress.

Older people also hold tremendous amounts of equity in their homes. Talk about a taxpayer revolt....it would be ugly.
