Again you confuse the number of murders with the murder rate. So much for your credibility.

In 1999 15,133 homicides were committed in the US (an appalling statistic), 70% of the homicides were committed with hand guns. 30% of the homicides were the result of an argument, 14% of the homicides were in the same family and 48% per cent were among people who knew each other. Seems like a lot of folks get shot to death needlessly.
