<< A "value" is only relative to the accounting system used to recognize such values>>

Well, sure... like stock price, or anything else for that matter. That doesn't address the point, rudeboy is advocating ignoring it... that is ignorant.

<< It doesn't matter if your defintion has immediate meaning, or monetary "value", if, over the last ten years, the potential negatvie circumstances you've now decided to focus on were already taken into account and planned for.>>

If "ifs and buts" were "candy and nuts" we'd all have a hell of a christmas. How do YOU know what I'm NOW chosing to focus on??? I'm making a statement concerning his ignorant statement, that is all.

<<You can reinvent Dell's earnings and cash flow any way you personally please, but if your personal definition doesn't affect their bottom line now or in the immediate future, of what worth is it? >>

I'm not reinventing anything.... Mr. Market has taken care of that. When options are issued they have value, those who pretend they don't are the ones reinventing reality.

<<Have you discussed these issues with Dell the company? >>

No, they haven't called me to discuss it yet. Derivatives is my specialty, they don't know anything on the topic I don't already know.
