I watched Kramer and Kudlow a few hours ago. It sounds like Dynergy will be the next to start having problems behind the crisis. Let's see... there still is Williams, Reliant, old stories about limiting the supplies of natural gas during the crisis, etc. Those Dynergy ads have it right..."I took power from here and sent it there. Which shell hides the power? Follow the little power pea as I move it from one shell to another...OK, Where it is?"
I sincerely hope that some of the top guys go to the clink, and that the companies get fined massively for what they did to us, in addition to having to give refunds, although I suppose none of that money will reach the individual consumers. I'm still of the opinion that energy should be a regulated monopoly; deregulation works fine in some cases, but energy is too vital to leave to beancounters trained in games theory.
