I remember some years back there was a guy in Israel attempting to slant drill a well into a pool of Arab oil. He was going through tome pretty tough rock so I don't think the project ever came upon a drop of oil. They may still be trying.

US foreign aid takes care of the oil. They may be buying from Britain or Norway if the Arabs refuse, but it really wouldn't surprise me if Egypt or the Saudis sell. It's money afterall. A number of these Arab countries actually have resorts that cater to Jewish tourists. Everything is done under the table so no one is offended on either side of course.
