Zeev, don't make it any harder than you need to. We have to test the gap at 1595-1625 before going any higher. This is not a runaway gap type of situation. The only question remaining is do we bounce 5-points before hitting the gap, at the top of the gap, half-way into the gap, after filling the gap.

After we bounce, it starts to get interesting. If you check the last few times we've had this situation, we always drop to either test the low or test the gap. Yesterday was a bit unusual as we did run quite a bit after the gap.

I do agree with Susan G that this was most likely a rise brought on by futures pumping similar to what happened on March 1 this year. All options related stuff. It is PPT and MM's at their best, trying to stave off loss of capital and loss of confidence in the economy.
