Susan, many thanks for the explanation. Now I have a picture in my mind and being a visual creature that works well for me!!

I am no chart reader but I watched the COMPX try to form a well defined head and shoulders on the 30 minute from yesterday's gap up, and did see the H&S on MSFT on the 30. I like this stuff!!

my my my

yer charts are starting to look like mine. people are gonna start telling ya, "way too many lines" on there, and "what are all them indicators for", haha!

here's some more intraday perspectives on sox, spx, and ndx
on links 1, 2, 3...

chartwerx.com

i think you'll find one thing of interest. what you'll notice on there is a yellow and green line in the indicator pane. i've overlayed the rsi14 on the adx into that pane, notice the relationships to the +dmi. i've removed -dmi. nifty huh? the white one is the adx.

now that you've got what i call a moving average fan on your charts as well, tsk tsk, lol, i don't know if you've ever noticed or not, but i call it a "fan" for a reason, watch for the effect at/as extremes. i call it a "sweep" when they all roll into the same vicinity as the dj65 is kinda doing.

third, with the rsi14, should you choose to, watch the relationship between the midpoint and your 20 and 40movavgs, i think you'll find that of interest as well.

just a few things i've tried demonstrating in the chat room that i thought might interest you as well. too bad it falls mostly on deaf ears.

(then ov course you'll need the oscillators to filter the rsi signals, and the oscillators that act like trend following indicators, and the multiple settings for each indicator, haha, but then i'd have to bill ya, rofl)

c what ya think
