Augie, looking back I think you are right.

Of course, the people that really know me had no problem with it. I have always openly preached that people should trust no one and always do their own DD.

The company I represented is one that I have followed on and off for years. A good friend of mine attended a wedding and sat next to the CEO of H-Quotient. He ended up investing in the company after doing his DD. It was through his mention, that I got a call from the CEO in the first place a month ago. I was not seeking it.

I checked the Company again and found they were profitable and had recently hired a former Senior VP and CIO of Freddie Mac. For a little company it looked way better than average and I had a history with them as a former investor. Are they 100% above board? I don't know. Time will tell. I can only trust their public disclosures, my DD, that of my friend, and my gut.

See, Augie, I have zero problem with representing companies honestly. I can't control that fact that many can't see the difference between a hype-ster on Yahoo that shouts "THE STOCK IS GOING TO DA MOON" with a person who calmly provides facts and figures on a Company to others. To me, everyone has a motivation for posting. Almost everyone posts to promote something for their own self-interest. I am getting compensated for it and I admitted it. If I were dishonest I would have used my "15 minutes of fame" as you call it to entice people to buy the stock without mentioning that I was getting compensated. It would have been a lot easier to convince people to buy it, if you think about it. Mentioning that I was being compensated just raised a big red flag for many and I knew it would.

I can't change the way people feel. Some people hate all attorneys, too. And maybe many choose to automatically think I am a slick crook. All I can do is say I am being above board on everything and let the chips fall where they may. After all, should I really care about those people that judge me and not even know the facts about me and my integrity?

Take care

>>>But consider that nobody particularly reviles the names of the two criminals who were crucified alongside Jesus -- (I read the Gospels fairly regularly, but I still have a hard time even remembering their names.) -- because nobody had any reason to expect any better from them.<<<

Barabas is the one that asked and was granted forgiveness...Have no clue about the other.
