People of extremist viewpoints declare themselves by very overt actions and words.


The word isn't always applied to extremist viewpoints. Also having an extreme viewpoint and stating it often doesn't reveal too much about the reasons for it.

The only other explanation I can think of for your being "not sure" would be that you don't think they are discriminated against or irrationally hated, or, if they are, that it ought not to be remarked upon.

No, you can be unsure if a specific word is needed to discribe a category of bigots, but still be 100% behind the idea of opposing bigotry in general and in that specific case.

I certainly thought my questions as to why you were "not sure" covered reasonable inferences.

It didn't.

You don't even really need much a of reason to be unsure. I would say rather you need a good reason to be sure. Being unsure would seem to be the default condition.
