IMO, this fact cannot be disconnected from the overall popping of the market bubble.

The Human fallout if you will from the excess behaviors undertaken by people when they felt so super rich.

Many are still facing financial crisis as the extravagance of the last cycle settles in. Homes going up for sale that stock cant support the heavy mortgages, these are fundamental macro economic forces matched to stock markets transitions.

Combine this with the fact that many Insiders do see, that their own companies have lost momentum to someone else, and insider sales will be rampant for the time it takes for the smartest ones to get the hell out. Market shares are measureable from the inside, many of the saavy will paint a great picture while shuffeling carefully away.

These are symptomatic conditions of a complex interweave of market forces, one size does not fit all.
Illiquid small caps with scarce floats for instance are now getting additional liquidity from this phenomena, some of these sellers are exactly selling at the wrong time, and for the absolute wrong reasons.

Again, many factors are at work in all of these blanket conditions, all easily rationalized by either side to paint the FUD necessary to help obtain more access to forward liquidity.
