Sadly, I think that there will likely be about as many folks, perhaps more than 50%, that are "stupid enough" to believe that we have other agendas in mind in our war on terrorism....... considering that our recent history has established that our leading politicians lack many moral or ethical qualities. I don't doubt that some officials who are responsible on planning the war on terrorism might have other agendas in mind, but I think that Prez Bush's focus is the war on terror first & foremost....... and if other agendas (I.E. our energy needs) happen to be partially resolved as a byproduct of this action, then so be it........ I just don't think that he will allow the prosecution of the war on terror to include any direct inclusion of any other agenda........ Fighting the war on terrorism will bring about enough problems, allegations & resistance...... real & imagined....... that any credible evidence that Bush allowed other agendas to be surreptitiously folded into the war on terrorism would only compound things (slow it down - drag it out - bring it to a halt, etc.) perhaps to the point that many more innocent US civilians get slaughtered. IMO, his integrity & sense of duty will prevail here, as I believe that the WTC attack had him turn more deeply to his faith in God...... which I understand was already a fairly close relationship.
