Yeah but Lizzie.... that's what everyone thought about the telecom equipment makers all the way down.

Of course there aren't any catalysts for Merq this summer. They don't sell suntan lotion.

Lizzie,

Something to keep in mind for tech spending.... Even if we do see "stabilization" here in the U.S., stocks are assuming that we'll see some growth in earnings and Europeans might erase any gains we see here. They do go on very lengthy vacations there and I think once summer begins, it might be difficult to get a commitment on new spending.

We might hear this quarter things like... "we see stabilization in the US, but there seems to be a softness in Europe which may be just the traditional summer pattern, but we won't know for sure until later in the year. We are still hopeful for a second half rebound but remain cautious". Software is particularly back end loaded and so I think that might make forecasting this quarter and the Sept. quarter difficult. Of course we should see the traditional year end budget flush.
