"don't know what school system you came from...BUT Stalin and Mao were both Communists....not 'rightwing' BUT rather "Leftists" "

You're making the same mistake many others do in applying American political definitions to all governments. Think of the terms conservative and liberal.....a conservative is a hard line believer in the system in place in his respective government, ie in the US a conservative is one who resists change in the capitalist form of government and a liberal is one who favors more change. A left winger is described as a liberal in the US while a right winger is a conservative. In a socialist or communist country, on the other hand, a conservative or right winger is a hardline communist who resists change to communist doctrine while a liberal or progressive is one seeking to make changes that relax the system.

Communists, Dictator, Libertarian, Republican, Democrat none of that defines left or right winger. A right winger wants to keep the system in tact and control any movement away from the "acceptable" and is totally conservative and restrictive of ability to promote change and oppresses those that suggest change. IE Stalin and Mao and the right wingers in the US today
