T, Ah, but 5% is more than most use. I have some friends who hold a fairly large 401K and they asked me to look at it as they were getting hosed. I mentioned that they had all large cap domestic stock funds and that they probably needed some small and mid cap, some international, preferably small or mid cap (their plan didn't offer such a critter), some resource holdings (not an offering) and some foreign bonds (again, no such animal was an option). They told me that was too much jargon for them and could I put it in English. <g>

Sadly, they are the rule and not the exception. No wonder cos. get away with such lame 401K plans.

T, I am still surprised that none of the bear funds have a + 5 year record. I know they are for traders and timers, but they sure punish you if you get your timing wrong.
