Corruption. The fact that suffering exists is due to SIN. Not to anyones individual sin, but SIN. The reason one baby is well fed and loved and the other neglected and hungry is due to the presence of good and evil in our world. God is good, but we are free to choose. In our choosing we have settled for far less than what we could have. You can say "how can a good God allow evil" but then comes the next question "How can love force itself on another?" That would not be love for it would rob the one it loved of choice and then we would all be machines.
