Lennar, NVR Recommended by Guest on `Rukeyser's Wall Street'
By Vivien Lou Chen

New York, May 10 (Bloomberg) -- Lennar Corp. and NVR Inc. are stocks worth buying as the homebuilding industry consolidates and is likely to have strong earnings growth, a guest said on ``Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street.''

Homebuilders are ``going to be growth stocks in the next several years,'' Kenneth Heebner, manager of CGM Realty Fund, said on the CNBC program. ``There's big money to be made in the stocks.''

Lennar is the second-largest U.S. homebuilder by sales behind Pulte Homes Inc. NVR operates in 11 states and gets almost 60 percent of its homebuilding revenue from the Washington and Baltimore region.

``Lennar, I think, is an outstanding company,'' Heebner said. NVR ``looks like Microsoft did in the late 80s,'' with an almost 80 percent return on equity and huge cash flow, he said.

Panelist Barbara Marcin, manager of the Gabelli Blue Chip Value Fund, recommended shares of Hewlett-Packard Co., which became the world's biggest personal computer maker with the acquisition of Compaq Computer Corp.

Another panelist, Harvey Eisen, chairman of Bedford Oak Partners LP, recommended GP Strategies Corp., a workforce development company, and Whitman Education Group Inc., which operates schools.<<<
