On the way home from work yesterday,
I stopped and picked up a few different
varieties of tomatoes, sweet peppers,
jalapenos, water mellon, and what ever
else looked good.

oh, you are so lucky to be able to grow
those things in your garden. i was able
to do so in ontario, but not here - unless
i erect a green house.

your little ones will carry on the tradition
of a kitchen garden too. kids just don't
forget stuff like that.

marigolds are a working flower in a vegetable
bed - like you said, they keep munching critters
off your veggies - and there's no reason why
your vegetable garden shouldn't look pretty too.

sometimes i'll plant the odd red cabbage in with
my flowers 'cause i like the look of them - wierd
huh?

planting garlic buds in with your roses is
supposed to be real good for the roses. i haven't
tried that yet cause i don't have roses, but i do
plant garlic.

i plant sunflower seeds every year because
they look great - make a nice cut flower and
attract birds in the fall. thought about
harvesting the seeds once but the birds got to
them first, which was the purpose afterall <g>

hope you guys have a happy day getting your
hands dirty.

how's mamma feeling?
